When Judge Judy Gets Some Competition

Look, it's a simple premise for the late twentieth century. What if television arbiter of right and wrong, Judge Judy, was some other adjudicator of justice whose name began with J? Judge Jerry (Seinfeld)? Judge Jesus (Christ)? Judge Jiminy (Cricket)? You get the idea.

When Judge Judy Gets Some Competition — MAD Magazine Issue 369
Sample Gag
Judge Jabba

AKA: Jabba The Hutt — obese alien lifeform

Good points: Commanding presence. No bailiff required.

Bad points: No one can understand him. Requires a steady supply of uncooked alien marine creatures to munch on.

Sample case: Han Solo is on trial for dumping cargo at first sign of Imperial trouble. Solo claims that even he gets boarded sometimes and that he's been rescuing the entire galaxy in the meantime.

Verdict: "Doon takka Solo, don gitchi wa!"
